I was tagged by the beautiful Mela ( Itsabookishthing13) to partake in the amazing Outlander Challenge created originally by Sasha (@sashaalsberg). If you haven’t heard how much I adore Outlander, well here it goes — I LOVE OUTLANDER. It has been so rough the past months waiting for it to premiere and finally it’s here.  Now, if you like to do this, all you have to do is answer the questions below! Looking forwarded to reading yours!

You touch some standing stones and get transported back in time, what year would you hope to land in?

1940. For some reason I feel like my past life has been in that time era. I want to go and see the beauty of the city, the fashion, and the way of life. It was a time where is seemed so different and simple but yet unique. From art to film, to the war—it was all different. I don’t know why I’ve always been drawn to that time and I can’t explain it. I also find myself wearing fashion of that time era and style of make-up. Deep down I like the romantic gestures of back then…I want love letters!

Claire is a very good nurse, what type of skill would you want to have that a fictional character excels at?

Her willpower in general. She can adapt in situations; whether it’s dangerous or scary, she still manages to have strength to continue. Yes, she is a doctor and everything, but the one skill that you need is the will to carry on. You may have every possible skill out there but at the end of the day you need the ability to go forth and not give in.

Jamie and Claire are ultimate relationship goals, who is your favorite fictional couple?

I’m not going to lie but I love Jamie and Claire. I love how they fight for each other. It literally makes me feel so weak in the heart to see their chemistry and their love for one another. I don’t want to go in depth of what Jamie did for her, but the fact he was willing to do anything and I mean ANYTHING to make her happy was just bittersweet. That’s the real meaning of love, sacrifice. In sickness and in health they say, love will always power through the darkest times. One thing I love so much was when he looks at her. She is just mesmerized by him.

The ending of outlander was shocking, what is one book you read that totally blew your mind?

Personally, I feel these book were ones that always caught me on a cliffhanger that I didn’t know what to do with myself. Also–okay wait–Me Before You did that for me as well. I mean, totally different “blew my mind” but I was so devastated that I couldn’t get out of bed for days.

Scotland has lots of castles and we see quite a few in Outlander, what fictional kingdom would you want as your own (castle included)?

I wanted two locations Minas Tirith (middle earth) and Dragonstone (GoT House of Targaryen) I feel like I want to be an badass elf but also own dragons…can I have both?

Outlander has some very steamy scenes, what is your favorite romance novel?

There is too many that I like. “Disarm” by June Gray, “November 9” by Colleen Hoover, “Me Before You” by Jojo Moyes, “Before We Were Strangers” by Renee Carlino, and more… It’s so hard to pick out my favourite because there are so many good ones. The best is being connected to the characters and feeling their romance develop.

The Jacobite Rising is a huge plot point in the Outlander series, what book has your favorite battle in it?

I have to admit, Lord of the Rings had some fantastic and incredible battles that were epic! Also, I did like some of the battles that were found in Game of Thrones. The epic fight between different colonies! Man it’s like Wrestle Mania!

Jamie and Claire get married very unexpectedly, what fictional character would you want to marry on a whim?

Finnick, or Henry, or Alex, or Mr. Darcy, or Ben, or Jamie….do I continue?

Scotland is a beautiful place, what is one fictional world you would love to visit?

Hogwarts because I WANT to go to school for witches. I want to be in magical world filled with magic and powers. I’d love to experience this. I also would love to be part of dragons and see mystical things that are  only found in books.

If you could change the past, would you?

I think we all have those moments where we think we want to change the past but do we really want that? Surely, life is made the way we want it to be because of our choices. It’s all about risks and that is what we have to go by.  No I wouldn’t want to change the past, I rather look forward to what lies ahead.
