When this Canadian beauty isn’t studying for her college classes, she dips into the world of books to take her away to another world. She loves to have fun with visual arts, and you can see it from her photos! This week’s addition is a special one because not only am I doing a Fangirl review, but I will also be teaming up with Morgan (@thegraduatedbookworm) on a book review this month! It was such a blast to get to know her and I’m happy she is this week’s Fangirl!
Why do you love books?
I guess the main reason why I love books so much, is because it can transport you to another world (which I know most people talk about). When I read a good book, I can feel myself become part of the story, and not until the end do I realize that none of it was actually real. It’s a place to calm me when I am stressed (including going to Chapters), and it even makes me feel like I could become an author who can make someone feel they way I do when I’m reading.
If you could be any character, who would it be and why?
Hmm…That’s hard. I know a lot of people would say someone that is extremely popular in the book world, but I think that I would want to be someone like Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy. She has talent, charisma, and above all she doesn’t care what people think about her. She is a strong woman, who knows what she wants, and even though she is still growing up (as she’s in high school) she seems to have it all mapped out in a way that most can’t see.
Why do you do your bookstagam?
I started my account to go with my blog. The main reason was to connect with other people who like reading as much as I do, because I don’t have very many friends/family that enjoy it as much as I do. I also wanted to create it, so that I could help new/debut authors get their works out and become more known, because I aspire to become an author one day. If I cannot reach my dream, I would at least like to help those who have inspired me to go into writing in the first place. The hardest part is putting yourself out there, and hoping people will respond, like, and follow you on your own adventure. SO being able to connect, and share my thoughts and opinions also helps give advice for others.
What an amazing girl, I Tell you! Watch for this month’s article on our review where we will be discussing the book and how we felt about it!
